We can provide volunteers who do one off tasks that a ”Good Neighbour" would do.

(Hillingdon and Harrow only)

If you require occasional/one off practical assistance or support such as learning how to use Information Technology in your home, attend a health appointment, sorting out paperwork, going for short walks or any other practical support that a “good neighbour” would provide, our volunteers can support you.

Simply contact our Community Team and let us know what task you need support with and we will do our best to help. This  is very much an ‘as and when needed’ service for those occasional and one off tasks that you may need support with.

  • Small domestic task/ household help
  • Occasional shopping
  • Collecting prescriptions
  • IT support and training in the home
  • Short walks
  • Low level gardening
  • Dog walking
  • Posting/collecting letters / parcels
  • Short term telephone support to help reconnect/access community services - 12 week support

All of our volunteers are DBS checked and our team are happy to discuss any requests you may have

In Hillingdon only we have an additional social support providing face-to-face or telephone contact with a Volunteer for up to 6 months. You would need to meet the following criteria:

  • 65 or over
  • Live alone, with no other support
  • Housebound
  • Or have recently had a major life event such as bereavement or significant health event.
