A trusted break for dementia carers
Caring for someone with dementia is an act of love, but it can also be emotionally and physically exhausting. Our Dementia Sitting Service offers trusted, short-term support for dementia carers, giving you time to rest, recharge, or manage everyday life, while knowing your loved one is safe, supported and not alone.
Delivered across Hillingdon and Harrow, our dementia sitting services provide reassurance, companionship and peace of mind when you need it most.
What is Dementia Sitting?
Our dementia sitting service provides non-clinical, in-home dementia support for older people living with dementia. While we don’t offer personal care or medical treatment, our experienced dementia sitters will:
· Offer warm, one-to-one companionship
· Provide a calm and reassuring presence
· Ensure the person is safe and comfortable at home
This type of dementia sitting allows carers to step away with confidence, knowing their loved one is being supported by a trusted person.

Our dementia sitting services are designed to complement existing dementia care, giving carers a reliable break without pressure or judgement.
Pricing and availability
• £28 per hour (minimum of 1.5 hours per week) ) - Price will increase to £30 per hour from 1st April 2026.
• One off £28 assessment visit ) - Price will increase to £30 per hour from 1st April 2026.
• Payment by Direct Debit to reduce admin costs
• Service available across Hillingdon and Harrow
