What is Basic Nail Cutting?
Our Basic Nail Cutting service is provided by trained workers who offer basic toenail and fingernail cutting
Who is it for?
This service is for adults aged 50+ living in Hillingdon, Harrow or Brent who have difficulty cutting their own nails.
Please note: Basic Nail Cutting is not suitable for clients living with diabetes or those taking certain medications, such as blood thinners or steroids.

The service is available on Fridays between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
How much does it cost?
Toenails only costs £30. Toenails and fingernails costs £40. A nail cutting kit costs £10 and must be purchased at the first appointment and brought to all future appointments.
How can I pay?
Card payments only are accepted. We do not take cash or cheque.
Do I need to buy a nail cutting kit?
Yes. There is a one-off charge for a nail cutting kit at your first appointment. Please bring it to every future appointment, as using your own kit helps maintain hygiene and infection control.
What if I am worried about the cost?
Please talk to us if affordability is a concern. You may be entitled to benefits or financial support to help cover the cost.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can contact Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow & Brent directly to talk through your needs and arrange an appointment.
