What is Vintage?
Vintage is a place to spend your day, meet people and try something new.
Whether you've recently retired and are looking for something to do during the week, you're looking to make new friends, or you'd simply like a change from being at home, Vintage offers a friendly and welcoming place to come.
You can come for one, two or three days a week, depending on your needs and availability.

Is Vintage right for me?
Vintage is for Hounslow residents aged 60+ who would benefit from spending time with others and taking part in activities.You don't need to have dementia to attend.We welcome people with different needs, including people living with mild dementia or experiencing increasing frailty, and we provide a supportive and dementia-aware environment. All new members go through an application and assessment process to make sure Vintage is suitable for them.
Transport
Transport A limited service close to the vicinity of the Southville Community Centre is available. The reason for this is the travelling time involved in transporting members to the Day Centre. Service users who live outside of this vicinity may still attend as long as they are a resident of London Borough of Hounslow but they will need to organise their own transport. Meals & Refreshments
Refreshments are provided throughout the day and are included in the cost of attendance.
Members can enjoy our popular Morning Tea & Toast Social, a freshly prepared Hot Two-course Lunch, and an Afternoon Tea Social.
Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day, ensuring everyone stays refreshed and comfortable while enjoying the activities and companionship on offer.
Hot meal cooked on the premises at the Southville Community Centre. The menus are varied and rotate each four week period. Special diets within reason can also be catered for. The cost of lunch is included in the cost of
Activities
Activities are provided by the staff, volunteers and tutors from Age UK Hounslow and include Bingo, Art, Light exercises, Gardening, Board Games, Quizzes, Themed Days, Cooking Classes, Giant Scrabble, Floor Darts and so much more. There are also Television, DVD and projector facilities available. There are no extra charges incurred for the activities which take place daily.
Day Trips
Day Trips take place to local garden centres and other locations at the choice of the members. A small charge is made for the mini bus and any admission fees applicable would also be payable by the service user. Age UK Hounslow host extensive events from the main centre Southville Community Centre in Feltham, to which the Day Service members are often invited. These events are for entertainment but also involve important awareness sessions, interesting talks, falls prevention, health matters and other areas of interest. There is no additional charge for these visits.
Membership
Membership – To become a member of the Age UK Hounslow – Southville Vintage Day Service, we do request that all service users become members of Age UK Hounslow. The cost of membership is £15.00 per annum. This ensures that all service users benefit from the extensive range of services, information and advice and other benefits that being part of Age UK Hounslow has on offer.
Trial Days
Trial Days are mandatory for all those wishing to attend. We organise the first visit day as a trial day for both the service user and staff to ensure that the facilities and support available match those required by the user. Please note £40 fee applies.
Cost
The daily cost for attending is £40.00.
