Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do costs nothing at all.

Loneliness and isolation affect thousands of older people across the Isle of Wight and many of them simply don't know that help is available. That's where you come in. You don't have to fundraise, volunteer, or give a penny to help. Just talk about us.

A conversation with a neighbour. A quick share on Facebook. A mention to a colleague. These small moments can make a huge difference to an older Islander who needs support.

Here are 3 easy ways to help us get the word out:

  1. Get social with us. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and X and share our posts and articles with your friends and family. Even a quick like or comment helps more people on the Island discover who we are and what we do.
  2. Share our articles. We regularly publish news and updates about our work across the Isle of Wight. If something catches your eye, share it — you never know who might need to read it.
  3. Just mention us. It really is that simple. For example, If you know an older person who is struggling with day-to-day tasks at home, let them know about our JAY (Just About You) service our friendly home help service designed to support older Islanders with the things that have become a little harder to manage. You could change someone's life just by passing on our name.
