How are traders chosen for the directory?

Traders who wish to join the directory are required to provide two references. Whilst Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland Business Directory cannot recommend any traders or businesses listed on the site, we do ensure all our members are checked and vetted by local Age UK staff. We check that they have current, valid and adequate insurance cover, that they have relevant qualifications and are members of appropriate professional bodies, such as Gas Safe.

All members listed on the site have agreed to abide by the Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland Business Directory Customer Charter

We would encourage you to leave online feedback on the Business Directory about any traders you have used, the products and services they have provided.

Is the Business Directory free?

The Business Directory is free for you to access online or by telephone to find a local trader. The product or service that the trader provides to you will be chargeable at a rate agreed between you and the trader.

How do I access the directory?

You can access the directory online and search for a trader in your area. If you are not online, you can call our Freephone number and one of our staff will search the directory for you.

Once you have found a trader, you need to make contact directly with them and we request that you mention the Business Directory when booking them/buying from them.
