Conor BurkeConor joined the Age UK Merton Board in 2026 as Chair-Elect. He will become Chair in November when our current Chair completes his term of office.

As a local resident, he is passionate about Age UK Merton’s role in helping older people stay independent, connected and supported in their own community.

Conor has spent more than 25 years working across health, care and social enterprise. He is currently Chief Executive of Urgent Health UK and a Non-Executive Director at Herts Urgent Care. 

He began his career as an Occupational Therapist, working with older people in community settings, before moving into senior NHS leadership roles, including as Chief Officer of three London Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Conor has also chaired a number of health and system transformation boards. He brings to Age UK Merton extensive experience of governance, strategy, partnerships, Board development and the delivery of community-based services.
