Tobin Byers (Chair)

Tobin joined the Age UK Merton Board in November 2020 as its Chair. In addition to his role as Chair, Tobin also volunteered as a befriender with Age UK Merton between 2019 and 2025.

Professionally, Tobin is a barrister. He was previously an elected councillor in the London Borough of Merton and served as Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health and Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Board between 2016 and 2020. He also held other Cabinet roles as Cabinet Member for Environment and Cabinet Member for Finance.
