Pension Credit
This is a benefit for people over state pension age on a low income. You might also get help with service charges and ground rent, and additional amounts for being a carer or if you're disabled. You might qualify even if you get your State Pension, have savings or other income, or own your own home.
Why apply?
If you get Pension Credit, you could also get other help, such as:
- Council Tax support
- Housing Benefit if you rent
- A free TV license if you are aged 75 or over
- Warm home discount
- Help with health costs (e.g., dental)

You will be asked about the following information about you and your partner (if you have one):
- National Insurance Number
- Information about any income, savings and investments you have
- Backdate your application to usually 3 months ago
