Are you looking for an opportunity to use your accountancy skills and knowledge to help others and gain new experiences? Age UK Norfolk is a local independent Norfolk charity with over 75 years’ experience of providing much needed services to older people across the county of Norfolk.

We have adapted and survived through difficult financial times and through the pandemic, ensuring that the people we work with continue to be supported using new and innovative ways to offer services.

A vacancy will shortly arise on our Board of Trustees for a Treasurer. To support a smooth and effective handover we are looking to appoint a new Trustee who can work alongside our current Treasurer for a period before their time on the Board comes to an end. Our Board of Trustees meets 6 times a year to agree the strategic direction of the charity and monitor delivery by the staff team of agreed plans.

The Treasurer has a particular focus on our financial performance and scrutiny and chairs our Finance Sub-Committee which meets quarterly. Currently, we are meeting via video conference. The position is voluntary for a period of 4 years, renewable for a further term. We are specifically looking for a qualified accountant and preferably an individual with experience of charity finance. We welcome applications from all sections of the community to help us achieve a diverse trustee board that reflects our clients and communities.

We also welcome applications from experienced charity trustees and from those for which this would be a first trustee appointment. If you are interested in this exciting role, please contact volunteering@ageuknorfolk.org.uk.

Video interviews with our Chair and members of our Governance Sub-Committee will be arranged at mutually convenient times. For more information about us and the trustee application process please see below
