If this has been your first time volunteering in your communities and you have found it rewarding, you many want to consider when your role ends coming to volunteer with Age UK North Craven. There are many volunteer roles to choose from such as helping in the shops, digital inclusion, driving minibuses, befriending people who are lonely, helping with the admin to name a few.
We are particularly looking to attract some younger volunteers and for those who are looking for Work Experience to go on your CV, or are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, there are some great opportunities to discover your hidden talents.

Current volunteering roles with Age UK North Craven
Could you help by being a Befriender, either in person or by telephone?
What do we ask from you?
- A commitment to volunteering for at least one year
- Completing references, online training, an interview and an ID check
- Making a weekly call for 30 minutes at a regular day and time
Become a Digital Buddy
Help and support older people in the local community on how to use their mobiles, laptops, i-pads or even their normal telephone....
Volunteer Car Driver
Using your own car, you'll provide essential door-to-door transport for older people who have difficulties using public or other forms of transport.
Volunteer minibus driver
This role supports our local shuttle service and day trips, helping older people get around and enjoy days out.
As a volunteer courier you will be supporting the minibus drivers and customers who use our trasnport services, helping them to get to where they need to go.
To help with the Shop and sorting. Happy to lift heavy items and generally clear and move items within and outside the shop and premises.
Have you got some knitting skills? We could use your help to make knitted hats and items for window displays.
Have you got Admin skills? It may be from filing, photocopying or general office duties.
Furniture Re-use & Recycle Volunteer
To work alongside the retail team to prepare / repair donated goods for sale in our shop.
Retail Assistant Furniture Shop Volunteer
To work as part of the retail team to promote sale of donated goods through our shop.
Ebay packer and postage assistant
Packing and Posting sold Ebay items and maintaining records of the same.
Help and assist our Ebay account.
Monday Club Volunteer
Help us provide a varied menu of activities and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for older people to meet together and enjoy each other's company
