Clubs and activities in Settle
Weekly lunch clubs
Join our friendly lunch clubs at St John's Methodist Church in Settle on Monday and Friday. Our Friday Club starts with indoor bowls. Two-course lunches, plus tea, coffee and biscuits, are available at both clubs. Afternoon entertainment varies from guest speakers to extend exercise, quizzes, bingo and craftwork. The fee for each club is £5 plus £2 for Friday indoor bowls. Call us on 01729 823 066 for more information.
The Pavilion Pie Club
The Pavilion Pie Club is for men who want to enjoy the sort of camaraderie of their earlier years. Members 'test' a newly chosen pie with a glass of ale or a soft drink, read the papers, do crosswords and chat. We meet fortnightly on Mondays at the Royal Oak in the Market Place, Settle.We can be found in the large room directly on the right as you enter the public house via the side entrance (with ramp). We hvae been gathering for about 11:15am fortnightly on Mondays and eating about an hour later.

Febuary 19, March 5, March 19. There is no Pie Club on April 2 Bank Holiday Easter Monday, but April 9 instead. (future dates to be fixed).

We have a network of other clubs in Horton in Ribblesdale, Ingleton, Langcliffe, Long Preston, Rathmell and Malham providing company, friendship and fun activities for older people who live in those areas and surrounding villages.

Our Country Connect service takes people into the countryside to enjoy sights, sounds and activities reflecting all four seasons of the year.
Workshops and classes
Themed dances and taster classes are organised from time to time. Usually running over four to six weeks, the taster days introduce people to new activities to try. Recent ones include mindfulness, tai chi, card and decoration making, haiku writing with tea.
