Sponsor a tree and make a difference

Age UK Notts is celebrating its 75th birthday this year. With the support of Rothera Sharp Solicitors, Age UK Notts intends to achieve its goals of planting 750 trees; have a lasting legacy for the local communities; and towards its overall fundraising target of £75,000 to help vulnerable older people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Woodland Trust has generously donated the trees to Age UK Notts for its Trees of Life campaign. These trees include 20 – 60 cm tall container saplings and are a variety of blackthorn, crab apple, dog rose, elder, wild cherry, silver birch, common oak, field maple and grey willow of native British trees.

Your £75 sponsorship includes a tree from our selection which will be planted in one of the designated locations. This also includes the expertise involved in planting preparation, the location, and its continued maintenance.

By sponsoring an Age UK Notts tree, you are not only enhancing the environment but also the lives of older people in our city and county. This is the first step of a journey to support older people and to create a better future environment for Nottinghamshire. With your help, Age UK Notts can continue to provide companionship, advice and support for those who have no one to turn to. The charity is dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life and couldn't do that without your help – your sponsorship will make a difference to the lives of older people. It could pay for 8 regular visits to a lonely older person by one of Age UK Notts’ trained volunteers.
