Men in Sheds celebrate 80 years of Age UK Notts

We are celebrating our 80th birthday this month and who better to share a slice of cake and a cup of tea with but The Men in Sheds at our Blidworth shed. Members and volunteers shared stories, enjoyed tea and cakes very kindly donated by Morrisons Bulwell. Councillor Tom Smith of Sherwood & Newark council also popped in to enjoy the celebration 'This service is invaluable to the members, creating new opportunities to socialise and make new friends, put practical skills to good use, share them with others or try something new and learn new skills' 

A new member shared his experience so far ' I missed the camaraderie of working with other men, being able to come here and fit straight in, the atmosphere is very relaxed & there's a huge  amount of knowledge & skills here, everyone chips in and helps, it's like a big family'
