The search is on for 2 older models to be part of Fashanne 2017, the high profile student fashion awards for the East Midlands.
Celebrating 75 years of Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, we are looking for models in his or her seventies, from the East Midlands, to take part in Fashanne, with stylist and TV guru Gok Wan.
This glittering event in front of hundreds of guests will be showcasing the work of the most talented fashion students in the East Midlands.
Following a two day exhibition featuring the work of 48 winning students at St Mary’s, the magnificent medieval church in the Creative Quarter of Nottingham, a catwalk show will be held on the night of the Awards. Our winners will be part of that catwalk show.
As so many of our top fashion houses and cosmetic giants turn to older faces to promote their products (Jessica Lange for Marc Jacobs…Charlotte Rampling for Nars cosmetics….Helen Mirren for l’Oreal), so Fashanne wants to celebrate the vitality and experience of the older generation. The wonderful connection between the young and the old is something we want to reflect on the catwalk - with the designs of the future brought to life by young and old alike.
Ideally we are looking for two models to take part in Fashanne on June 22nd. So, the search is on. If you’re in your seventies and would like to take part please send a photograph and covering letter telling us a bit about yourself, why you would like to take part, what being in your seventies means to you and please include height and basic measurements. Please send your covering letter and photograph to:
