We provide an impartial, confidential and free service tailored to your needs. Our team of experts will assess your enquiry however simple or complex. We will then provide the information you need, including any unregulated financial advice or put you in touch with the expert you need.
Age UK Notts Later Life Financial Advisers (*see disclaimer)
If you decide that you need some regulated financial advice we can put you in touch with an Age UK Notts Later Life Financial Advisers. These are Independent Financial Advisers or Chartered Financial Planners who are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and are members of the Society of Later Life Advisers. All the advisers on the panel hold an appropriate:
- financial planning qualification (Level 4) and a Statement of Professional Standing
- equity release qualification (covering both lifetime mortgages and home reversion plans) and
- long term care qualification
They work in partnership with us to offer a free 30-minute free consultation either at our Nottingham hub, via the telephone or home visit. They can provide regulated advice on the 6 main options on how to best meet the needs of paying for your own or your loved one’s care including:
- Immediate Care Needs Annuities
- Deferred Payment Agreements
- Home Equity Release Schemes
- Renting out a property
- Living off savings
They can also advise on other financial matters such as Pensions and Annuities, Investments and Savings, Tax planning (Inheritance Tax), etc.
You can retain choice and independence by choosing from a panel rather than a single recommended planner or adviser.
