You’ve donated and we are grateful!
We’ve received numerous donations from many people throughout the past few months and every single penny has made a real difference. Thank you to everyone who sent in a cheque or donated online. Your donations have made it possible for us to help people when they felt most vulnerable and afraid. We’ve shopped, collected medication and made wellbeing telephone calls to isolated people. Your donations have helped make that possible. We’re working hard to continue to provide services that matter to older people and donations always help us to deliver. If you’re looking for a worthy cause to support, well…look no further!
If you are looking for specific support for someone who is self-isolating or shielding during the COVID-19 pandemic, contact our new Welfare Service.
Imagine you, or someone you love, feeling lonely or isolated? Would you benefit from someone to talk to regularly?
1.4 million people are experiencing loneliness and isolation. We want to help change this.
We support lonely and isolated older people, living in the County, with a volunteer visitor or telephone befriender to chat with regularly.
Our friendly trained volunteers provide regular companionship, provide an opportunity to share life’s experiences and a listening ear. Whether it’s over a cup of tea, a game of cards or putting the world to rights, everyone feels the benefit of talking.
Unfortunately, this service is unable to provide personal care, tenancy support or domestic help, but if you require any of these please contact Age UK Notts who will be able to point you in the right direction for the assistance you need.
If you think that you, or a loved one, would benefit from this kind of support, get in touch with Age UK Notts today!
