Could you be missing out on income you are entitled to in order to live a more independent and happier later life?

If you are over state pension age and living in Richmond upon Thames or would like to know on behalf of a family member, contact our Welfare Benefits team for advice on 020 8878 3546.

Our support is free and confidential and takes place in the comfort of your home at a time that is convenient to you. We take care of all the paperwork including any follow up which may be required.

Last year we assisted nearly 400 residents to obtain different forms of benefits.

Could you be entitled to receive Attendance Allowance? We supported 200 people to access this benefit last year.

An extra 100 clients benefitted from our support to secure grants to pay for their household bills, utilities, equipment, white goods, energy and other miscellaneous expenses.

One of our customers gave us permission to share their recent experience:

"I have been suffering with ill health recently and have no working heating system at home, in addition I have no access to relevant benefits to help finance a new heating system. I contacted Age UK Richmond and they kindly arranged to visit me at home, they applied for Attendance Allowance on my behalf which was successful at the higher rate. The extra income I receive now supports me to deal better with my illness and paying expenses like taxis and more. Age UK Richmond also helped me receive an energy grant and work has started to install a complete brand-new central heating system in my home".

Other examples of the support you could be entitled to are:

- Bereavement Allowance
- Council Tax Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit including State Pension
- Disability Allowance
- Carers Allowance

Let us check your current entitlement.
