Brighter Living Fair 2023: 'Walk, Talk & Draw'

Age UK Wandsworth is delighted to have participated in Wandsworth Council's annual Brighter Living Fair with our "Walk, Talk & Draw" event.
The Brighter Living Fair is an annual festival of events, workshops and taster sessions for adults in Wandsworth looking for care and support services that promote healthy, safe and independent living. Now in its sixth year, it was set up by Wandsworth council and now attracts over 160 local health care providers.
Funded by the Council, we hosted an event promoting active ageing in the community, “Walk, Talk & Draw”. Participants enjoyed a walk in the park at Wandsworth Common, where they took photos of the seasonal colours before heading back to our Day Centre to paint what they had captured on film and enjoy some healthy refreshments.
The event was a great opportunity for older members of the community to come together and meet new friends, enjoy the great outdoors, as well as explore their creative talents! Below is an example of some of the artwork produced on the day:
