Wellbeing appeal donations

Age UK Wandsworth has launched a new Wellbeing Appeal this month to help provide essential supplies to older people affected by the Cost of Living crisis.

At Age UK Wandsworth we have witnessed first-hand the impact the Cost of Living crisis has had on older people in Wandsworth, many of whom are concerned about rising prices and their ability to buy essential supplies. In response to this, we have launched a new ‘Wellbeing Appeal’ to provide food and hygiene items for vulnerable older residents in the borough. Donations of non-perishable items will be made up into wellbeing parcels to be given to those in need.

You can help by donating any of the following non-perishable items:
  • Tinned foods, soups, pasta & rice

  • Long-life milk, tea & coffee, squash & cordials

  • Tins of biscuits, sweets or chocolates

  • Soaps, shower gels, toilet paper, hand sanitisers & toothpaste

Donations can be taken to either of the following collection points:
  • Gwynneth Morgan Day Centre, 52 East Hill, SW18 2HJ (Monday – Friday 10am - 4pm)

  • 549 Old York Road, SW18 1TQ (Monday-Thursday 10am – 3pm)

Alternatively you could donate the cost of a grocery shop:

£60 will cover the cost of a grocery shop for an older person in the borough. Please click on the link below to donate.
