2. Support at Home Home Helpers/Cleaners
We are looking for people who are caring, compassionate, reliable, honest and who have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of older people. You need to be self-motivated and committed, with a flexible attitude and good organisational skills. We don't necessarily need people with previous experience - the most important thing is to be able to chat with your customer and provide the service that they want.
As a Support at Home Home Helper, you will be providing a regular visit to customers in their home and be responsible for a range of domestic cleaning tasks, including ironing and laundry. Some customers may also request that errands are completed, such as shopping, picking up prescriptions or want to have a wellbeing visit. This is more than just a cleaning job but most visits do incorporate cleaning duties.
We are looking for people who can work 16 hours a week, over three set days. You need to be a driver with access to a car - although we try to arrange jobs close to your home, they are not always accessible by public transport.
You will be working as part of a team of 8-10 Home Helpers, supported by an Assistant Team Leader.
The services operates Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm. There is no weekend, evening or work over the Christmas period.
We will provide a uniform top and PPE (gloves, apron etc). You will need to have comfortable trousers/leggings to wear with the top and suitable footwear.
Salary: £12.21 per hour (pay award pending)
