Dementia Carers' Hub Event

Our first dementia carers hub event is launching at the Oscott centre on 4th May 2023 at Age UK Birmingham, Oscott Community Centre, 277 Birdbrook Rd, Birmingham, B44 9TY, from 11am to 1pm. 
 
As the lead partner in the dementia carers hub partnership, we will offering FREE carer awareness sessions for all carers in Birmingham who experience dementiaCarer awareness sessions will be delivered by the experienced Dementia Carers Count. 
 
Our first session is all about taking care of yourself as a carer. The session will include:
  • Learning about how resilience can be built to support your well being
  • Gaining ideas and strategies to support your own wellbeing
  • Spending time with experienced healthcare professionals who will answer your questions in a safe, supportive environment
  • Meeting other people who are taking care of a friend or family member with dementia in a similar situation
