Volunteer role description

Help create welcoming, supportive spaces that encourage older people to stay active, connected and confident through our community-based physical activity sessions.

You'd be helping with tasks such as:

  • Helping set up a room, putting out chairs and exercise equipment
  • Welcoming people at the venue
  • Taking registers of attendees
  • Making hot and cold drinks for attendees
  • Putting chairs and equipment away after the class

We're looking for volunteers at the following locations:

  • Elderdale Community Centre
  • Blackrod Sports & Community Centre
  • Harwood Methodist Church 
  • Drummond Street Community Centre
  • Smithills Hall
  • The Hub, Westhoughton
  • Trinity Methodist Church
  • Kearsley Mount Methodist Church
  • Bolton Central Library
  • Elderdale Community Centre
  • St John's Methodist Church
  • Blackrod Sports & Community Centre
  • Cornerstone Church, Bromley Cross
Time requirements

1 hour per week (dependent on the time of the class).

Please note sessions take place Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
