Strength and Balance volunteer
Volunteer role description
Help create welcoming, supportive spaces that encourage older people to stay active, connected and confident through our community-based physical activity sessions.
You'd be helping with tasks such as:
- Helping set up a room, putting out chairs and exercise equipment
- Welcoming people at the venue
- Taking registers of attendees
- Making hot and cold drinks for attendees
- Putting chairs and equipment away after the class
We're looking for volunteers at the following locations:
- Elderdale Community Centre
- Blackrod Sports & Community Centre
- Harwood Methodist Church
- Drummond Street Community Centre
- Smithills Hall
- The Hub, Westhoughton
- Trinity Methodist Church
- Kearsley Mount Methodist Church
- Bolton Central Library
- Elderdale Community Centre
- St John's Methodist Church
- Blackrod Sports & Community Centre
- Cornerstone Church, Bromley Cross
Time requirements
1 hour per week (dependent on the time of the class).
Please note sessions take place Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
