We employ over 40 paid staff and we have 90+ volunteers to provide a range of services for older people in Bristol. We offer training and regular support and the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in working with this group.

LGBT Community Development Worker for Older People
Full time – 35 hours per week
Term: Until March 2020
Bristol Ageing Better (BAB) is a partnership of organisations and individuals working together to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older people across Bristol. The partnership is led by Age UK Bristol and has been awarded £5.9million from the Big Lottery Fund. Programme delivery started in April 2015.

We are looking for someone with a passion for community development to deliver a project that works with older LGBT people to make changes in their communities. The role will require experience of managing and delivering projects, and bringing together stakeholders from across statutory, voluntary and private sector.
Bristol Ageing Better works to help older people live fulfilling lives. As such we actively encourage applications from older people. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
