We employ over 40 paid staff and we have 90+ volunteers to provide a range of services for older people in Bristol. We offer training and regular support and the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in working with this group.

Bristol Ageing Better are currently recruiting for:

Communications and Press Officer - Bristol Ageing Better (BAB)

Part time – 28 hours per week (times and days to be agreed)

Term: Until March 2020

Salary: £22,704 Pro Rata

Bristol Ageing Better (BAB) is a partnership of organisations and individuals working together to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older people across Bristol. The partnership is led by Age UK Bristol and has been awarded £5.9million from the Big Lottery Fund. Programme delivery started in April 2015.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with experience of: writing press releases, liaising with journalists, managing social media, copywriting, editing, maintaining a website and producing e-newsletters.

Bristol Ageing Better works to help older people live fulfilling lives. As such we actively encourage applications from older people. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
