- Salary: Pro Rata, £25,807 per annum
- Contract: 14 hours a week, flexible days. Permanent
Help Older People in Bristol to Age Well
At Age UK Bristol, we want to change the way we age. We’re looking for a creative and motivated Communications Officer to help us share our story, promote our services, and strengthen our connection with older people and our partners across the city.
Why this Role Matters
You’ll play a key role in raising awareness of Age UK Bristol’s work, promoting fundraising campaigns and community activities. You will ensure our communications are sending the right messages, at the right time, to reflect our mission and values.
What you'll be Doing
Working closely with the Communications and Fundraising Manager, you’ll:
- Create engaging content across our website, newsletters, and social media channels.
- Promote our services, events, and campaigns to reach older people and supporters across Bristol.
- Support the production of key publications such as our Impact Report, Guide to Later Life, and What’s On Guide.
- Help design and produce printed materials such as leaflets and posters.
- Gather stories, photos, and case studies that celebrate the difference we make.
- Support internal communications across our team, trustees, and volunteers.
- Ensure consistent use of the Age UK Bristol brand and tone of voice.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local media, community partners, and stakeholders.
