We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.

Who we are

Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is a local independent charity supporting older people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We’re here to help older people live well, stay connected and get the support they need. We listen to the needs of our local community and provide services designed to make a positive difference to the lives of older people.

We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under charity number 1165856.

We’re an independent local charity

Although we proudly share the Age UK brand and work closely with the wider Age UK network, we are a separate and independent charity from the national organisation, Age UK.

Being independent means we have our own Board of Trustees and make our own decisions about the services we provide. This allows us to focus on the needs of older people living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and respond to the priorities of our local communities.

It also means that we raise our own funds locally. Every donation, grant and gift we receive helps us continue providing vital services and support to older people in our community.

How we’re funded

Our work is made possible through a range of funding sources.

Some of our services are commissioned by the Local Authority and NHS. We’re also supported by generous donations from the public, charitable grants and gifts left to us through legacies.

We’re grateful for every contribution we receive. Your support helps us continue to provide vital services and support for older people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
