Free and confidential information and advice for older people, carers and family members.

Girton Older Residents' Co-ordinator
The Older Residents’ Co-ordinator aims to develop links and provisions for older people living in the South Cambridgeshire village of Girton.

Visiting Support Service for Older People
This service provides extra support for older people when most needed; particularly when experiencing a difficult period.
Social Opportunities

Sharing Time
We can visit you in your own home for one hour per week for company and conversation to help prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Day Services
We offer opportunities for older people to socialise, enjoy activities, entertainment and a meal, helping to maintain independence and support for carers.

Friendship Clubs
We have Friendship Clubs across Peterborough and developing in other areas, most of which meet once a week offering a place to enjoy company and activities.

Telephone Befriending
We have trained volunteers who make a weekly phone call offering friendship to reduce isolation and loneliness.
Practical Support

Home Support Service
Help with tasks around the home, for example cleaning, laundry and ironing.

Cambridgeshire Handyperson Service
Aims to prevent falls and accidents by offering a FREE Personal Assessment, Home Safety Check and arranging for small jobs to be carried out.

Community Wardens Service
We have a team of wardens in certain areas helping people in later life to live in their own homes.

Hospital Discharge and Admission Avoidance Support Service
Assistance with co-ordinated discharge of patients from hospital along with community based interventions to support recovery at home and prevent (re)admission.
