On 6th May, three wonderful members of our Older People's Advisory Group met with BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour at the British Library as part of their special programme exploring the theme of ageing.

On the programme, Celia, Lindi, and Sue reflected on their own experiences of ageing. They told us about the lessons they've learnt as they've moved through the years, and they also shared some of the things they love about later life - including learning that you don't always have to try to look and act a certain way to fit in.

"One of the best pieces of advice I would give to anyone is really: Keep going, to not worry about appearances, not to worry about fitting to what the norm is or what you've been told is standard".

As active members of our Age UK Camden community, Celia, Lindi and Sue take part in our Older People's Advisory Group (OPAG) and other activities. OPAG meets monthly and provides a voice for Camden residents over the age of 55. The women also attend our monthly Book Group and creative sessions with the National Portrait Gallery.
