Volunteer Administrator - Care Navigation and Social Prescribing Service

Introduction

Age UK Camden is an independent voluntary organisation working to enhance the quality of life for older people living in the borough of Camden. We are predominately a front-line service delivery organisation. Our Care Navigation Service and Social Prescribing Service aims to help people living with long term health conditions to access appropriate services.

Role Outline:

We are looking for volunteers to help us gather feedback on the Care Navigation and Social Prescribing Service.  

Tasks will include:

  • Using a predesigned questionnaire, contacting a selection of clients who have used the service by phone to gather feedback of their experience.
  • Complete the questionnaire and note the feedback/comments clients make about the service received
  • Notify Care Navigator manager of any concerns, questions or issues that come up during the feedback conversation.
  • All tasks must be carried out in accordance with Age UK Camden’s policies and procedures.

Personal qualities most suited to the role 

  • Good communication skills – confidence in engaging with people over the phone is important.
  • Be IT literate/Good level of IT skills  – the role will involve using e-mail and accessing an online survey and database.
  • Interest in engaging with people.
  • Patient and sensitive.
  • Requirement to undertake induction training and follow guidelines and policies of Age UK Camden.

Time Commitment

  • Weekly either half a day or one full day (Monday – Friday) –  flexibility
