Age UK Cheshire East celebrates its 30thanniversary this year, having originally started as Age Concern Macclesfield back in May 1988.  The charity is planning a number of events to mark this special occasion, and to kick the celebrations off, is hosting a Charity Concert thanks to the support of the Macclesfield Light Orchestra.

Age UK Cheshire East currently supports over 3,500 older people each year in the local area, providing targeted services to address dementia, loneliness and health and wellbeing.

Damon Taylor, Chief Executive of the Charity commented “We are delighted that Macclesfield Light Orchestra has agreed to perform this concert for us, playing a selection of popular and classical music. The afternoon promises to be a really enjoyable afternoon, and also gives us the opportunity to highlight the vital work we have done for older people in Cheshire East over the last 30 years.”

Details of the concert are set our below. All proceeds from the concert will go towards supporting the charity’s services and ensuring more older people benefit from the wide range of support available.
