Our light gardening support allows you to enjoy your outdoor space without the strain.
We can help you maintain your garden so you can relax and take pride in it. Our support workers are here to assist with the jobs you find harder now.

The Support Package

1. Sessions are a minimum of 1 hour, with no minimum number of weeks, book as and when you need us.
2. The cost starts at £25 per hour, which includes a one-off assessment fee.
3. After your initial session, ongoing support can be booked as needed.
4. This support is provided as part of the Just About You Home Help Service provided by Age UK Isle of Wight.

Support Worker Responsibilities

1. During the booked hours, you may assign your support worker various tasks around your home. For instance, if gardening cannot be completed due to poor weather, your support worker can assist with other tasks that are listed within our service handbook.
2. For gardening your support worker can assist with a range of light gardening tasks such as cutting grass and clearing pots and planters.
3. Please note that we are unable to remove garden waste, work at height, or carry out heavy-duty landscaping or tree surgery.
