Dementia Awareness Session

Dementia Awareness Session Monday 12 September

1.30 - 2.30pm, online

Linking in with this month's Alzheimer's Awareness month, Islington Carers Hub would like to invite you to attend an interactive talk with Dementia Friends Ambassador, Carer Jeanne Pring.

The session will last approximately an hour and then there will be the opportunity for further sharing and conversation till 3pm.

By raising awareness about dementia, through various events across the UK including in Islington, it is hoped more people will be diagnosed earlier. Getting a diagnosis of dementia can give a better understanding of the condition and what to expect. Timely diagnosis can help with important decisions about treatment, support and care.

Why attend?
  • Get an introduction to what dementia is
  • Get an initial insight into what it's like to live with dementia
  • Help support a friend or loved one
  • Help members of your community
Who is it for?

It is for all Islington residents / people looking after someone in Islington or with an Islington GP.

How to join?

Email info@islingtoncarershub.org, and we will send you a Zoom link to join the session.
