Flu is worse than a common cold and is a highly infectious virus and can cause people serious illness, especially those who are more vulnerable. The vaccine prevents people from serious effects of the flu. The flu vaccine is free for eligible residents and includes those: 

·       aged 50 and over 

·       pregnant residents 

·       carers 

·       children aged 2-10 years 

·       and those who are immunocompromised and their close contacts
