About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our café team. This is a hands-on role that combines cooking, day-to-day kitchen operations, and team supervision. If you're passionate about good food, have a strong eye for detail, and enjoy leading others in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh meals in line with the café’s menu
  • Lead and support the kitchen team during service
  • Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety are always maintained
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Café Manager to ensure smooth and efficient service

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a café or catering environment
  • Confident in cooking a variety of meals to a high standard
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good organisational abilities and a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum) – Level 3 desirable
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to design menus, being creative with a limited budget
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work within budgets, manage stock levels, and source ingredients
  • Ability to manage the kitchen functionality
  • Experience in managing staff performance effectively
  • Provide daily meals to the daycare clients
