Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland – Minibus Driver

We are recruiting for a reliable, friendly, and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to join our team. To provide safe and reliable transportation for individuals with limited mobility, assisting them to and from their homes to various destinations across Leicestershire County and City. The role involves working closely with third-party organisations to support individuals in remaining mobile and connected to their communities, enabling access to essential services and activities that meet their personal needs. If you’re a people person who values safety and respectful driving, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations
  • Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting as needed
  • Ensure adherence to schedules and routes
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving licence with D1 category (essential)
  • Previous experience driving minibuses or larger vehicles (preferred)
  • Good knowledge of local routes and roads
  • A caring and responsible attitude toward passengers
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Hours: 15.5 hours per week, 3 split shifts over 3 days

Salary: £9868.32 per annum £12.21 per hour

Contract: Permanent
