VODA Awards 2019 - Recognising the stars of North Tyneside's voluntary and community sector

Nominations are now open for North Tyneside VODA’s annual awards, which recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution made people and organisations within North Tyneside’s voluntary and community sector.

VODA is currently inviting nominations for its annual awards in four categories:

Organisation of the year: awarded to a voluntary or community organisation that has made a valuable contribution to the local community in the past year
Volunteer(s) of the year: awarded to an individual volunteer (or group of volunteers where applicable) whose volunteering has made a real and positive difference in the past year
Young volunteer of the year (aged under 19): awarded to a young person who has shown commitment and enthusiasm within their local community in the past year
Trustee of the year: awarded to a trustee or committee member of a voluntary and community sector organisation who has made an invaluable contribution
The closing date for nominations is 5pm on Monday 30 September and winners and nominators will be notified soon after. The awards and prizes (High Street Vouchers) will be presented at VODA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which takes place on the morning of Wednesday 23 October at the Linskill Centre in North Shields.
