The Research Institute for Disabled Consumers is a UK charity providing independent research for disabled and older consumers. Ther information is unbiased and they hope it will help you choose the right option to meet your needs. They don't sell products.

RiDC is looking to recruit people to join their panel and use their knowledge, experience and real-life understanding of the issues that consumers with a disability face.

Panel members answer online surveys (up to 10-15 per year), test products, mystery shop in person, online and over the phone plus have the chance to take part in workshops and other research. Where possible, RiDC pays research participants for their involvement. On principle, RiDC pay their consumer panel members for their knowledge and experience and as a thank you. It's not the top dollar rate that people would charge as consultants but it's not nothing. It's an acknowledgement that the research is important and RiDC believe it can make a difference to people's day-to-day lives by improving products and services.

Because the research is on an 'as-and-when-needed basis', this is not a way of making a living. In the future, RiDC will be looking at having a points system to reward panel members who take part in research.

Join the panel. Sign up to the RiDC consumer panel today.

When you sign up to the RiDC consumer panel, they'll ask a number of questions that allow them to match you to the most appropriate research opportunities. It takes between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.

If online is not for you, then you can join up over the phone.
Give them a ring on 020 7427 2460. They'll be happy to phone you back at a convenient time and sign you up.

The panel now includes over 1,300 people
