We are pleased to share the first Befriending Newsletter with you! Read along to meet the wonderful staff, some of our lovely customers, and see how you can get involved through our volunteering opportunities.
Our Befriending service works to help the older community of North Tyneside alleviate loneliness and social isolation. We aim to build confidence and assist our customers in any way possible to get them involved in the North Tyneside community.
Of course, we couldn’t do the work we do without the help of our volunteers. Who build relationships with our customers through home visits and phone calls. By creating an informal and friendly environment our customers feel at ease with our volunteers, which greatly assists in the rediscovery of social skills.
