Remembering our loved ones

Tynemouth Crematorium's Garden of Remembrance

Published on 24 May 2023 08:01 AM

North Tyneside Council's Bereavement Service is inviting anyone who has lost a loved one to come along to a special memorial service on Wednesday 14 June, 5pm, at Tynemouth Crematorium.

This service is to remember anyone who has passed away, at any time and from any cause; and will be suitable for everyone, regardless of faith or belief.  The service will last around 30 minutes and light refreshments will be available afterwards.  Guests will also receive a special butterfly, made of paper containing wildflower seeds.  They will be invited to write on the name of their loved one and either take the butterfly away to plant at home, or to leave it for planting in a special area of the crematorium's Garden of Remembrance.

If you would like to attend, please call 0191 643 6070 or email bereavement@northtyneside.gov.uk to reserve your place, no later than Friday 2 June.

The service is being held in collaboration with Macmillan Support Services and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
