Remembering our loved ones

North Tyneside Council's Bereavement Service is inviting anyone who has lost a loved one to come along to a special memorial service on Wednesday 18th September, 3pm, at Tynemouth Crematorium.
This service is to remember anyone who has passed away, at any time and from any cause; and will be suitable for everyone, regardless of faith or belief. The service will last around 30 minutes and light refreshments will be available afterwards. Guests will also receive a special butterfly, made of paper containing wildflower seeds. They will be invited to write on the name of their loved one and either take the butterfly away to plant at home, or to leave it for planting in a special area of the crematorium's Garden of Remembrance.
If you would like to attend, please call North Tyneside Council on 0191 643 6070 or email bereavement@northtyneside.gov.uk to reserve your place, no later than Thursday 12th September.
The service is being held in collaboration with North Tyneside Palliative Care Services at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Bereavement support groups
Age UK North Tyneside are partnering with Nicola Gauld, founder of The Grief Circle, to offer eight sessions of bereavement group support. These sessions are fully funded by The National Lottery Community Fund meaning there is no cost to attendees.
