Day 5 – Sybils in Bloom

Our Sybil Levin Specialist Dementia Day Service offers innovative SPECAL support for people living with dementia - support that also brings comfort and reassurance to their carers and loved ones.

This year, our beautiful walled garden has undergone a stunning makeover, thanks to generous donations made in memory of loved ones and the incredible fundraising efforts of Notts Ladies Golf Club, Hollinwell, who chose Sybils as the beneficiary of their charity day. These gifts have allowed us to transform the space with new benches and companion seating, cushions, parasols, and of course, vibrant plants.

Our friends who attend the centre have been part of the journey - helping with planting, deciding where things should go, and most importantly, enjoying the garden. It’s now a place to relax, chat, and savour an ice cream or even a mocktail in the sunshine.

The impact speaks for itself:

“We would like to say the biggest ‘Thank you’ for going above and beyond your job title looking after my precious mum. The care given to her at the centre is simply the BEST, ensuring she's happy, safe and fulfilled. Not forgetting the minibus ride to and from the centre. The staff are BRILLIANT with her. We've DEFINITELY noticed a change in mum since attending the centre (that's down to you wonderful people). Mum's definitely got some of her sparkle back.
