Moving Music Returns, 4th April 2022

Published on 09 February 2022 10:58 AM

Sound Resource are delighted to let you know that the Moving Music concerts will resume in Silk Hall at Radley College on Monday 4 April, 11.30am-12.30pm and again at 2-3pm.

"The concerts offer an opportunity for people, along with their family, friends or professional carers, to enjoy a concert experience together, with professional musicians, in a music auditorium with good access and a friendly and supportive atmosphere, at times which they can manage"- Sound Resource

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served from 30 minutes before the start of each concert. The entry charge remains £5, including refreshments, and carers come free.

They will have performances by the amazing Derek Paravicini on piano, with songs sung by Hannah Davey, who will also lead the sing-along songs. Some of you may remember Hannah from a Moving Music concert in 2019.

These concerts are open to all, particularly people living with dementia along with their family, friends and carers. Parking is available in the Round Pavilion car park behind Silk Hall, with easy access directly into the hall. The City35 bus from/to Oxford stops outside the main gate to Radley College. There's a link to a map here.

Silk Hall has plenty of space for social distancing and we'll allow for good ventilation. The musicians and volunteer stewards will test for Covid before the concert, and we ask anyone with a positive test or Covid symptoms to stay home. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions with regard to Covid safety or anything else in relation to the concerts.

Please email to reserve your places and parking (car or minibus) in advance, stating your preferred concert time: movingmusicconcerts@gmail.com

They hope to be able to welcome you to a concert on 4 April!
