Age UK Solihull is an independent, local charity and a Brand Partner of the national Age UK. We exist to be here for older people when they need our help and support. We are also the lead partner for the Solihull Community Advice Hubs, providing information, advice and support to all adult residents of Solihull.
Over 50 staff and 300 volunteers support our work.

Join the Solihull Personal Assistant (PA) Register
If you're looking for flexible, rewarding work that makes a big difference in the Solihull community, why not join the Solihull PA Register?
PAs help adults and children with disabilities, health conditions, or other support needs to live full, independent lives. Support may include:
- Personal care (washing, dressing, medication support)
- Household tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
- Social support (appointments, activities, community engagement)
Being a PA is ideal for anyone seeking flexible, rewarding work - including those balancing school runs, studying, exploring a career change, or looking to make a difference in retirement. No formal qualifications are required; the focus is on values, communication, and compassion.
The Register matches local residents with PAs based on:
- Individual care and support needs
- Location
- Preferred working arrangements
It is free for PAs to join and open to both employed and self‑employed workers.
Whether someone needs help at home, support getting out and about, or assistance with personal care, the PA Register makes it easier to find the right match.
