  • Our Clubs and Activities for over 65s

    We have several regular social clubs that take place each week or month at venues around the Solihull borough - including lunch clubs and coffee afternoons - as well as occasional one-off activities and trips.

  • Walking groups for over 50s

    Our Strollers & Striders Wellbeing Walks are friendly, gentle walks for Solihull residents aged 50+ who want to enjoy fresh air, gentle exercise and the company of others.

    They take place at various locations across Solihull and suit all abilities.

  • Social Cafe

    This is a monthly get together for all Solihull residents aged 18+ who want to get out and enjoy some company. Run by Age UK Solihull Social Prescribers from South Central Solihull Primary Care Network, and supported by Solihull Council's Community Development Team.

    • First Tuesday of every month
    • 11:00am to 1:00pm
    • The Tea Chest, 242 Lyndon Road, Solihull B92 7QW
    • Free to attend
    • No need to book
    • Food and drinks available to purchase

  • Big Knit Drop-In Group

    Come along and knit little hats for our Big Knit campaign, which raises funds to enable us to provide our vital services.

    • Every Thursday
    • 1:00 - 3:00pm
    • Lower Ground Floor, The Core, Solihull Library, Solihull B91 3RG
    • Free to attend (but donations always welcome)
    • No need to book - just turn up with your needles!
    • Hot drinks, knitting patterns and wool provided
    • Everyone welcome regardless of age or location

    Friday Meet Up (run by Age Concern Castle Bromwich volunteers)

    • First and third Friday of each month
    • 12:00 noon to 3:00pm
    • Arden Hall, Water Orton Rd, Birmingham B36 9PB
    • Lunch provided - sandwich, cake and cuppa.
    • Rafflebingo and great company
    • Cost - £3 per session
