Age UK Solihull has a well established range of services that have been developed over 30 years of experience in meeting the needs of older and vulnerable people in Solihull. These services are constantly under review to ensure that they are fully effective and efficient in their delivery, and consistent with the requirements of our funders, and most of all, meet the needs of local people and their families and carers.

Community Advice Hubs
Need information and advice? Come to our Community Advice Hubs based in Solihull and Chelmsley Wood Libraries. The Hubs deliver our Older People's Information & Advice service, but they can also help any Solihull resident aged 18+ and their carers.

Direct Payments
Direct Payments are monetary payments made to individuals who request to receive one or all of their eligible care/support needs.
Carers may also be eligible for direct payments.

Clubs and Activities
We have four weekly social clubs to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older people.
We also have details of other clubs in and around Solihull.

Linking People Together (Befriending)
A service which enables isolated people to interact with others either at home or in their local community.

Home Support Service
This is a home help service where we assist older people with jobs in and around the house such as meal preparation, laundry and grocery shopping.

Postural Stability Instruction
Our falls prevention classes help older people who have previously suffered a fall in a last 12 months. The classes help with muscle tone and balance in older people and ensure that they build up their confidence.

Linking Veterans Together
The Linking Veterans Together project is a new service designed to tackle loneliness and improve wellbeing in older veterans and their spouses living in Solihull.

Solihull Winter Warmth Campaign
Age UK Solihull is commissioned by Solihull Council to deliver the annual Partnership Winter Warmth Campaign. Our temperature and information card gives lots of tips and advice on keeping warm throughout winter and is available free from the Winter Warmth Helpline.

Digital Champion Project
Our Digital Champion Project offers advice and support to older people who are isolated in their homes, with regard to using digital technology such as a tablet or computer.
