Come Along to 'Community Cuppa' Every Thursday!

As we enter the colder months of the year, winter warmth is becoming increasingly important, and we at Age UK South Lakeland are looking for ways to support older people in our local community who might otherwise become increasingly isolated at this time of year. To that end, we are delighted to announce our new partnership with ASDA to host weekly Community Cuppa events! These events will provide a lovely, warm afternoon space, with free refreshments, board games, and more.

Our new Community Cuppa event will be taking place every Thursday, starting from the 10th of November, at the ASDA Cafe in Kendal from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. There's no need to call ahead or book a place - simply come along! ASDA will be providing unlimited free tea and coffee for attendees of the event, while Age UK South Lakeland will be providing a range of board games, bingo, and more.

Community Cuppa is also a great place to chat with somebody from Age UK South Lakeland, who will be available to provide information and advice about our range of community services, as well as our other activities and events in the local area. The charity organises a wide range of Lunch Clubs, Gentle Exercise Classes, and other social activities across the South Lakes. We also provide various free support services, advocacy support, and guidance for older people.
