Overview of hot weather over the next 5 days

Very warm to hot conditions for many areas from Saturday to Tuesday, with the highest temperatures in the east/south of the country. Humidity for southern areas from Sunday with wind becoming light and variable in the south but breezy along the coasts. temperatures will steadily rise in most areas except in the NW and NE. Showers and rain developing for northern and far western areas but remaining isolated in the south and east, where many areas may remain dry.

Overview of hot weather over the next 6 to 15 days

Remaining unsettled in the north, perhaps more widely, with indications of a deeper area of Low pressure on the 16th and 17th moving across the UK. Temperatures in eastern and southern regions likely to remain warm or very warm at times particularly at the start, before cooling slightly towards the end of the period. Thundery outbreaks are possible associated with warmer spells. Generally remaining drier than normal with the north and west likely to see the most rain.

Overview of hot weather over the next 16 to 30 days

Indications for generally settled conditions to continue with high pressure sitting to the west of the UK and drawing air from the continent with further very warm to hot spells are possible with the greatest potential in the South or Southeast. There is the likelihood of thunderstorms developing in the south and moving northwards across central and northern regions overnight.
