Job Title: Community Training Facilitator
Hours: PART TIME 16 hours per week, DAYS AND TIMES TBC
Salary Range: £25,878.00 AMOUNT FTE BASED ON 37 HOURS PER WEEK, PRO RATA FOR 30 HOURS PER WEEK £11,191.00

Working as a part of the AUKS Lifescape Team and Reporting to the Community Operations Senior Lead
Contract
Fixed term contract until October 2029 subject to 6 months Probationary period
Location
Based at Age UK Stockport with travel required to community venues across Stockport. Flexible or hybrid working may be available where the role permits. The Role
Core Purpose
To act as a catalyst for the LifeScape programme by developing and delivering engaging community-based learning opportunities that support older people to understand ageing more positively, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and become active co-designers within their communities. The role will empower residents, volunteers, and Community Champions through training, mentoring, and skills development activities that promote resilience, social inclusion, and sustainable community leadership.
Main Role
The Community Training Facilitator will design and facilitate learning opportunities, workshops, and training programmes that move beyond traditional service models to equip participants with practical skills, knowledge, and confidence. The post holder will be instrumental in the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of Community Champions, contributing directly to creating a sustainable legacy of community-led activity through the development of the LifeScape Toolkit.
