Independent Financial Support
In line with our policies and procedures to ensure good governance and value for money, we are reviewing our use of independent contractors and suppliers. As a result we are re-tendering for our independent finance support.
The majority of the day to day finance functions are carried out in-house by an employed member of staff. However we use an independent contractor to provide senior finance functions, provide additional support when required and ensure impartiality.
We are keen for the sub-contractor to work with and train our existing Finance Officer to further develop her skills and we will need you to help us develop our social enterprise income streams and to produce monthly and quarterly management reports. We need you to be experienced, personable and responsive, able to respond to our requests and also suggest best practice and improvements. Applicants for this post will need to be skilled in the use of Sage. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid for duties related to this role and will be agreed in advance.

Operational Support Manager
21-25 hours per week, FTE £30,153 gross per annum pro rata (actual £18,091.80-£21,537.85)
We are undertaking a programme of substantial growth, the post holder will work closely with the Chief Executive to ensure we are a well-governed organisation with effective systems
The post is hands-on and will be varied, working across key areas therefore the post holder will need a flexible and adaptable approach. Tasks include Managing Health and Safety administration functions such as first aid and fire training etc, implementing and/or maintaining quality policies and procedures; Supporting the staff team to maintain our current quality standards or meet other which we may require and supporting the CEO with projects and day-to-day running of the organisation
Hours available for this post are 21-25 a week depending on suitable candidate.
Activities and Social Media Co-ordinator
25 hours per week, FTE £25,641 gross per annum pro rata (actual £18,315)
The post holder will develop and co-ordinate a range of social, cultural and leisure activities for older people across Waltham Forest. This programme will play a significant role in reducing social isolation through developing activities and events as requested by older people in Waltham Forest and promoting services and activities on Social Media
Nail Care Assistant
7 hours per week, FTE £21,840 gross per annum pro rata (actual £4,368)
Your role will be to deliver a Nail Care Service to support older people. This new service will be starting at three sheltered housing schemes in Waltham Forest initially with the view to expanding to other locations. The role involves an initial assessment to ensure the service is suitable for the individual, toenail cutting and simple enhancements, such as the removal of dry skin and giving advice on self-management to help keep feet in a healthy condition.
Successful candidates will have a good understanding of the needs and issues affecting the independence of older people.
