Lights, Camera, Bright Days!

We are delighted to launch our brand-new Bright Days/Social Engagement video, celebrating the warmth, friendship and sense of community that make our Bright Days groups so special.

The video offers a glimpse into the laughter, conversations and activities that take place every week across our Bright Days sessions. More importantly, it captures the real impact these groups have on the lives of older people throughout Wigan Borough.

For many people, Bright Days is much more than a social activity. It is an opportunity to make new friends, stay active, build confidence and enjoy meaningful connections in a welcoming and supportive environment. Every smile, conversation and shared experience helps to tackle loneliness and promote wellbeing.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who took part in filming, shared their stories and helped bring the project to life. We are incredibly proud of the positive difference our staff, volunteers and participants make every day, and this video reflects that collective effort.

Whether you are new to Age UK Wigan Borough or have been part of the organisation for many years, we hope the video reminds us all why Bright Days is such an important part of our mission to help people age well, stay connected and live independently.
